Deleting your cori account

Delete your account for good — what to do beforehand and what's lost irreversibly.

Web + app

If you don't want to use cori any more, you can delete your account completely. That removes you from all your choirs and deletes your personal account for good. This guide shows what to think about beforehand and what exactly happens.

This can't be undone

Deleting your account is final. Your profile, your practice progress and your personal files are deleted and can't be restored.

Think about this first

1
Hand over any choirs you direct

If you delete your account while directing a choir, the choir carries on but is left without a choir director. So transfer the leadership to someone else beforehand — see Transferring the choir leadership.

2
Sort out running subscriptions

If you're paying for a choir's subscription, deleting your account doesn't automatically cancel it. Cancel it beforehand or hand the billing over to someone else — see Cancelling your subscription.

How to delete your account

Web app
Open the settings, go to the “Account” section and click “Delete account”.
Mobile app
Open your profile, scroll down to the account area and tap “Delete account”.

cori then asks once more, just to be safe. If you confirm, your account is deleted and you're logged out automatically.

What gets deleted

Along with your account, these disappear:

  • your profile (name, profile picture) and your personal files
  • your practice progress: XP, level, streak and badges
  • your memberships in all choirs, along with your admin and leadership rights

What stays: the choirs themselves and their shared content. Songs, sheet music and appointments belong to the choir, not to you personally — they remain in place for the other members.

Deleting your account isn't the same as leaving a choir

If you only want out of a single choir but want to keep your account, don't delete your account — leave the choir instead. See Leaving a choir.
