Your data and privacy
Which data cori stores, how recordings are handled and how to request information about your data.
Web + app
cori only stores what's needed to use the app, and works in a GDPR-compliant way. This article gives you an overview. Only the information in the privacy policy is binding and complete.
This article explains the essentials in everyday language. The legally binding details — including the service providers used and your rights — can be found in the privacy policy.
Which data cori processes
For cori to work, the following are processed, among other things:
- your profile: name, profile picture and (in the app) optionally your date of birth
- your choirs: memberships, roles and appointments
- your practice progress: XP, level, streak and badges
- content you upload: songs, recordings, sheet music and Drive files
- messages in your choirs' chats
Recordings and the microphone
For singing feedback and audio analysis, cori records your voice. These recordings are there to give you feedback on your singing. cori doesn't access the microphone without you doing something — more on that under Audio analysis and The microphone isn't working.
Where your data is stored
cori stores your data with carefully selected service providers (data processors), for example for storing files and for payment processing. Your payment data is processed exclusively by our payment provider Stripe — cori itself doesn't store any card details. Which service providers are used in detail is set out in the privacy policy.
