Streak Shields
How Streak Shields automatically catch a practice day you've missed.
Web + app
A Streak Shield protects your streak when you take a day off. You don't have to do anything for it: cori uses the shields automatically, so that a single missed day doesn't reset your run to zero straight away.
Two shields per week
You get 2 shields per week. They automatically stop your streak from breaking. The supply is topped up again at the start of each new week.
How the shields work
- If you miss a practice day, cori automatically uses up a shield and your streak keeps running.
- You have two shields available per week.
- If you drop out more often in a week than you have shields left, the streak breaks.
- The shields are a fixed weekly supply — you can't save them up or earn extra ones.
Where to see your shields
Web app
On the “Streak” page, a small card shows the shield icon with the number of shields left. Click it to open the explanation.
Mobile app
In “Your Training”, a shield icon with the number left sits next to the streak heading. Tap it for the explanation.
The number shown is always “Streak-Shields left this week” — in other words, how many lapses this week won't yet cost you your streak.
No substitute for practising
Shields cushion a slip, nothing more. The safest way to keep your streak is a short practice every day — a single round is enough.
