Checklist: setting up your choir
The most important steps right after creating it — invite members, add songs and appointments, check your settings.
Web + app
Your choir is created — what now? This checklist walks you through the steps that get your choir properly going: bringing people on board, providing material, planning rehearsals and setting the right options. You don't have to do it all at once; work through the points at your own pace.
These steps are aimed at everyone who manages the choir — that is, the choir leadership and admins. A few actions (the subscription, for instance) only work in the web app.
The steps
No singers, no choir. Share your invitation link or QR code so everyone can join and pick their voice along the way. Here's how: Inviting members.
Create the pieces you want to rehearse — from an audio file, for example. After that everyone can sing along and practise. See Creating a song from audio. Extra files such as PDFs or recordings go into the Drive.
Put your rehearsals in the calendar — as a recurring appointment for your weekly rhythm, too. See Creating appointments.
Take a look at the choir settings. Especially relevant at the start: the default appointment confirmation for attendance and whether members are allowed to share their annotations with their voice.
Your choir starts with a free trial. If you want to carry on afterwards, take out a subscription in good time so nothing gets paused.
You don't have to shoulder everything alone. Make trusted members admins so they can help with managing — songs, appointments and members included. See Making someone an admin and Roles and permissions in the choir.
