Switching to cori from another app
How your choir moves from another app to cori without the stress: the plan, what you take with you, a ready-made announcement and the switch bonus.

Are you still organising your choir with another app, with club software, or with WhatsApp and Excel? This guide shows how to move over to cori within a few weeks, without a single rehearsal falling flat.
If your contract with your current app is still running, cori is free until it ends, for up to 12 months. We'll also set up your members, your first three pieces and your rehearsal dates with you, free of charge. You'll find all the conditions and the form on the Switch to cori page.
The plan
A move works best in small steps, while the old app keeps running for a few more weeks.
Create your choir and set up your voices. The 30 trial days start straight away, with no credit card. You'll find out how under Creating a choir.
Create your weekly rehearsal as a series and upload the pieces you are rehearsing right now. With our moving help, we take care of that for the first three pieces.
Show your choir's QR code at the next rehearsal. Everyone scans it, picks their voice and they're in. Anyone who misses that rehearsal gets the invitation link in your existing choir group. Read more under Inviting members.
From now on, only add new appointments, sheet music and messages in cori. The old app stays readable until everyone has arrived.
Export whatever you want to keep beforehand, for example old attendance lists. Keep an eye on your previous provider's notice period so the contract doesn't renew automatically.
What you take with you
Member list: Many apps offer an export as an Excel or CSV file in their member management. In cori, each person joins by themselves and picks their voice while doing so. So you don't have to retype the list: sharing the invitation link is enough. With our moving help, you send us the list and we invite everyone by email.
Sheet music and recordings: Download your PDFs, MusicXML, MuseScore or MIDI files and the recordings for each voice from the old app. In cori they turn into a song with practice tracks for every voice, see Creating a song with the AudioEditor and Creating a song from existing recordings. Everything else, such as rehearsal plans or concert flyers, goes into the Drive.
Appointments: Recurring rehearsals are created once as a series. Concerts and one-off dates are entered individually. For your concert programmes there are setlists.
Chat: Announce the move in your existing group and write only in cori from moving day onwards. That way nothing ends up in two places. For how groups work in cori, see Group chats.
Attendance and statistics: This data usually can't be transferred. Export it as a file before you cancel, in case you need it for your committee or for grant applications. In cori, attendance starts with your first appointment.

Hi everyone, we're moving our choir over to cori. From now on you'll find our dates, the sheet music and the practice tracks for your voice there. Please join via this link and pick your voice: [invitation link]. Everything keeps running in parallel here until [date], after that we'll only be in cori.
