Creating a survey
Run a quick vote in a chat — options, multiple answers, closing date, results and who's allowed to close a survey.

Surveys live right inside your chats: you ask a question, everyone taps their answer and the results gather live in the conversation. Perfect for dates, performance outfits or the next encore. This guide shows how to create a survey, read the results and close it again.
In your own groups and in direct messages, anyone who's allowed to post there can start a survey. In the choir-wide chat and the voice chats, only the choir leadership and the admins can. If “Only admins can write” is switched on in a chat, members can't create a survey there either.
Creating a survey
Open the conversation you want and tap or click the + next to the message field, then Create survey.
Type your question and add at least two answer options. Add option adds more — up to 20 in total.
Switch on “Allow multiple answers” if participants may tick more than one option. Turn on a “Closing date” if the survey should close automatically — cori then suggests one week ahead, and you can adjust the date freely. Without a closing date the survey runs until you close it by hand.
Choose Send survey. The survey appears as a message in the chat, and everyone can vote straight away.
Voting and seeing results
Members vote with a tap or click on an option. With a single choice you can retract your vote by tapping again; with multiple answers you pick as many options as you like. The results update live as bars with percentages right inside the survey.
Tapping the number of participants below the survey opens the “Votes” overview — there you can see by name who voted for each option. So only use surveys for questions where open answers are fine.
Editing and closing
As long as a survey is open, the person who created it plus the choir leadership and admins can adjust it — question, options and settings. If you remove an option that already has votes while editing, those votes are deleted.
To finish it, choose Close survey. After that nobody can vote any more, but the result stays visible.
A closed survey can't be reopened. When a survey reaches its closing date, cori closes it automatically — that's final too. If you want to run the vote again, create a new survey.
