Email notifications
Which emails cori sends, which ones you can unsubscribe from and which account emails you always get.
Web + app
cori deliberately sends very few emails — no newsletter and no advertising, just account and choir-related messages that reach you at the right moment. This guide shows which emails those are and which ones you can unsubscribe from.
There's no switch for emails in the app. You can unsubscribe via the “Unsubscribe” link right at the bottom of a relevant email — and only for the handful of emails that qualify at all (see below). Push notifications on your phone, on the other hand, are controlled separately: Setting up push notifications.
Which emails cori sends
About your account (you always get these):
- “Reset your password” — when you reset your password.
- “Verify your new email address” — when you change your email address.
- “Parental consent needed” — when a parent's consent has to be obtained for an underage member.
About your choir (you always get these too):
- “Welcome to …” — when you join a choir.
- “You're now a manager of …” — when you're given admin rights.
- “You're now the conductor of …” — when the choir leadership is transferred to you.
About the trial (you can unsubscribe from these):
- a welcome email when you found a new choir;
- a check-in roughly halfway through the trial and a reminder towards the end;
- a message when the trial has ended (this one counts as an account email and can't be turned off).
Invoices and payment receipts for a subscription are sent directly by the payment provider, not by cori this way. How to find them is described under Invoices and payment.
Unsubscribing from trial and welcome emails
Open one of the emails you can unsubscribe from — the founding welcome email or either of the two trial reminders. Only those carry the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom.
The link opens a confirmation page in your browser. Confirm there with “Yes, unsubscribe me”.
After that you'll no longer receive trial and welcome emails. This unsubscribe applies to the whole group at once.
Important emails about your account — password, email confirmation, role changes and the like — will still reach you, even after you've unsubscribed. They can't be turned off, because they're necessary for running your account.
What's next?
- Notifications on your phone: Setting up push notifications
- How the trial works: Free trial
- Finding invoices: Invoices and payment
