Giving someone admin rights
Make members admins and take the rights away again — and what admins in cori are actually allowed to do.
Web + app
As soon as a choir grows, looking after everything on your own stops being fun. Admin rights bring you support: admins take care of members, songs, sheet music and appointments — just like you do.
In cori, admins can do practically everything the choir leadership can — including deleting the entire choir, managing the subscription and even appointing a new choir leadership. Only give them to people you'd trust with the choir. See Roles and permissions in the choir.
Granting admin rights
Go to Choir and find the person in the list.
Tap or click the ⋮ next to their name.
The rights apply immediately. The person also gets an email from cori telling them what they can now do on top.
Taking admin rights away again
Same route — in the ⋮ menu the entry is then called Remove admin rights. The person stays a perfectly normal member of the choir and keeps access to songs, sheet music, appointments and chats. They only lose the management rights.
What admins can do on top
Compared with a normal member, they mainly gain the ability to:
- Invite and remove members and change their voice pitch
- Grant and remove admin rights
- Create, edit and delete songs, sheet music and setlists
- Create, change and cancel appointments
- Upload to the Drive, create folders and set visibilities
- Write messages, even when members aren't allowed to
At least one besides you — otherwise the choir grinds to a halt while you're on holiday or ill. In most choirs two or three are plenty: one looking after sheet music, one after scheduling, say. More admins mainly means more people who can accidentally do something far-reaching.
