Removing a member from your choir
Taking singers out of the choir — who's allowed to, what happens when you do, and what it means for billing.

When someone leaves the choir, you take them off the member list. It takes a few seconds and immediately affects access, chats and billing.
Only the choir director and admins. Members don't see the menu — but they can leave the choir themselves at any time.
How to remove someone
Go to Choir and find the person in the list.
Tap or click the ⋮ next to their name.
The person is taken out of the choir immediately. There's no extra confirmation prompt — so check beforehand that you've got the right row.
What happens when you do
- The person immediately loses access to this choir's songs, sheet music, appointments and drive.
- They're automatically removed from the general chat and the voice-part chats.
- Any admin rights are removed along with it.
- Your subscription's seat count is adjusted right away — from then on you pay for one person less.
What stays: the person's cori account and their personal practice progress (XP, level, streak, badges). Other choirs they belong to aren't affected either. Removing someone always concerns just this one choir.
There's no undo — but the way back is short: just send the person your invitation link again. They rejoin as normal and pick their voice type again.
The last person with management rights can't be removed
If removing someone would leave nobody able to manage the choir, the menu item is greyed out — and the server would refuse the attempt anyway. This applies in exactly the case where the target is the only person with choir director or admin rights and other members remain. Give someone else admin rights or transfer the choir leadership first, and then that person can be removed too.
As long as there's another choir director or at least one admin, you can remove any member — the choir director included. Their entry simply doesn't have the menu items for granting admin rights and appointing a new choir director.
