Changing a member's voice pitch
Correct or assign voice pitches — and why the right voice decides what someone gets to hear.

In cori, a voice pitch is more than a note in the member list: it controls which practice track is highlighted during playback, which sheet music is shown, and which voice chat someone ends up in. A voice set wrongly is therefore noticed pretty quickly.
Every member can change their own voice pitch at any time. Changing someone else's voice takes a choir director or admin.
Changing a member's voice
Go to Choir. Members are grouped by voice pitch — anyone without one is listed separately.
Tap or click the ⋮ next to the name.
Select the appropriate voice pitch. The change applies immediately, for the person concerned too.
Changing your own voice
You don't need the member list for this: open Choir›Settings — right at the top you'll find Your voice. Handy if you sing tenor in one choir and bass in another: a voice pitch only ever applies to the choir in question.
What the voice pitch changes
- During playback your voice is highlighted, with the others sitting quieter underneath.
- You're shown the sheet music for your voice part.
- You end up in the matching voice chat.
- Shared annotations reach you when they're meant for your voice part.
