Setting and tracking attendance

Every rehearsal and performance in cori asks one simple question: are you coming? Letting your choir know takes a single tap, and it gives your director a clear picture of who to expect. This guide shows you how to set your own status, add a short message, and — if you manage the choir — see the full attendance overview.

Set your own attendance

Open the Calendar and pick the rehearsal or performance you want to respond to. Each event offers three choices:

1
Open the appointment

Tap an event in the calendar to open its details. You'll see the date, location, any attached setlist, and the attendance buttons.

2
Choose your status

Pick one of the three options: ✓ Attending, ✗ Not attending, or the ? Don't know in the middle if you're not sure yet. Your choice saves instantly and the highlighted button shows where you currently stand.

3
Change your mind anytime

Plans change — just tap a different button. On the web calendar you can even confirm or decline straight from an event card without opening it.

Set a default response

Always at every rehearsal? In the mobile app you can set a Default attendance so new appointments start as Accepted (or Declined) automatically — then you only need to react when something's different.

Add a reason or a "running late" note

When you respond in the mobile app, you can attach a short message — handy for explaining why you can't make it, or letting everyone know you'll arrive a little late. Tap Add message below the attendance buttons, then either pick a quick delay (5, 10, 30 or 60 minutes) or type your own note. Your message appears next to your name so managers see it at a glance, and you can remove it again at any time.

See who's coming (managers)

Open any appointment and scroll to the member list. Members are grouped by voice, each with a coloured ring — green for attending, red for not attending — and a small progress bar showing how many in that section have confirmed (for example 5/8). Tap a message badge to read a member's note. If you need to, you can set a member's status for them: open the menu on their row and choose Attending or Not attending.

The Attendance screen

For the bigger picture, open Attendance from the sidebar on the web app. It brings every appointment together in one place:

  • Switch between Upcoming, Past and a Custom date range, and filter by event type or voice.
  • The summary cards show your choir's average attendance, response rate and totals.
  • A matrix lays out every member against every appointment, marking each as Attending, Not attending, No response or Not invited.
  • Use Export CSV to download the data for your records.

Managers only

The Attendance screen is visible to choir managers. Singers manage their own responses directly on each appointment instead.
