Creating and managing challenges
Put together shared practice goals from exercises and songs as the choir leadership or an admin.
Web + app
With a challenge you set your choir a shared practice goal: a handful of exercises or songs that everyone together should practise a certain number of times. Every session by every member counts towards the shared goal – which turns practising into a team game.
Only the choir leadership and admins can create and edit challenges. Members see the running challenge and contribute to it with their practice, but can't change it. This rule applies on the server side too.
Creating a challenge
cori opens a form. A title is optional – without one of your own, cori names the challenge after the calendar week (“Week 30”, for example). You can add a description if you like.
Choose a start and end date. Challenges typically run for a week, but you're free to set the period however you want.
Add one or more entries – each entry being an exercise or a song from the choir. For each entry you set how often it should be practised in total.
Set the total number of practice sessions (default: 10) and save. Without at least one entry and a valid target, the challenge can't be saved.
Following the progress
In the management view you see each challenge's shared goal as a progress bar, along with how many members are taking part, how many sessions have been practised in total and – where available – the average score. Active challenges are listed under “This week”, planned ones under “Upcoming”.
If someone practises towards a running challenge, there's a small XP bonus on top – see XP, levels and ranks.
Changing or deleting
Tap an existing challenge to edit or delete it. Both are again reserved for the choir leadership and the admins.
