The app isn't updating
How to check your cori version, grab the latest update from the App Store or Play Store, and turn on automatic updates.
App only
A feature is missing, something behaves oddly, or support asked you to update cori? Then your phone is probably running an older version. New features and bug fixes only ever arrive through an update from the App Store or Play Store — the app doesn't update itself in the background.
This guide is about the app on iPhone and Android. You don't need to update the web app: it automatically loads the current version the next time you reload the page.
Which version do I have?
In cori, go to Settings›About.
It shows your installed version, e.g. "Version: 1.2.3", with the build number underneath. That detail also helps support pinpoint your problem.
Get the update from the store
You always download an update through your device's store — not inside cori itself:
- On iPhone: open the App Store, search for cori (or open your profile in the top right and scroll to the pending updates). If it says Update, tap it. If it says Open, you already have the latest version.
- On Android: open the Play Store and search for cori. If it says Update, tap it; if it says Open, you're up to date.
After the update, close cori completely once and reopen the app so the new version starts cleanly.
If the store only shows Open and a feature you expected is still missing, wait a day or two: store updates are sometimes rolled out gradually and aren't available to everyone right away.
Turn on automatic updates
So you automatically get the latest version from now on:
- iPhone: in your device settings under App Store, turn on automatic app updates.
- Android: in the Play Store, via your profile under Settings›Network preferences›Auto-update apps.
When no update can be installed
Sometimes it's not cori but the device:
- cori needs at least iOS 16.4 or Android 7.0. If your phone's operating system is older, the store no longer offers the latest cori version. In that case, update your device's operating system first, as far as that's possible.
- Too little free storage blocks updates. Free up some space and try again.
When you need support
If you're demonstrably on the latest version (according to Settings›About and the store) and the problem persists, get in touch with support. Include your version and build number as well as your device and operating system — exactly the details from the About page.
What's next?
- Install the app fresh or on another device: Installing the mobile app
- Things aren't syncing up: Changes don't show up on the other device
- What works offline: Using cori offline
