Uploading files
Get sheet music, recordings and documents into your choir's Files — on the web and in the app.
Web + app
Files is your choir's shared file storage: sheet music, recordings, minutes and anything else you want to share all end up here. This guide shows you how to upload files — one at a time or several at once — and what to do when an upload gets stuck.
Only the choir leadership and admins can upload. For all other members, Files is read-only: they see the files shared with them and can download them, but can't add new ones. Creating folders, renaming, moving and deleting are likewise reserved for the choir leadership and admins.
How to upload files
New uploads are always placed in the folder you're currently in. If you want them somewhere else, switch to the right folder first — or move the files later.
Uploading whole folders
Via Upload›Upload folder you can transfer an entire folder, subfolders included, into Files. cori recreates the same folder structure in Files. In the mobile app you upload individual files instead and create the folders by hand as needed.
While the upload is running
Uploads keep running in the background while you do other things in cori — you don't have to sit and wait on one screen.
The upload is carried out in cori itself. Large files are best uploaded while the app stays open and your device doesn't go to sleep. If an upload is cancelled — by you or by a dropped connection — nothing half-saved is left behind; you simply start it again.
File types, names and size
- File type: cori accepts any file type — PDF sheet music, MP3 recordings, images, videos, Office documents and more. Images and videos automatically get a preview in Files.
- Name: up to 255 characters; the characters
/and\aren't allowed. If there's already a file with exactly that name in the same folder, cori reports a conflict — rename the file in that case. - Size: there's no fixed limit per file. The only limit is your choir's total storage space. If that's full, the upload is refused with the message "Storage quota exceeded" — chat attachments count towards the same quota.
